Did you see our Facebook post last week about the hotels coming to Frisco Station? Regardless of whether you did or not, this is an exciting announcement that we thought we should spend some more time on. As Frisco Station continues to inch towards completion, hotel developer NewcrestImage announced they would be building four luxury hotels at Frisco Station along the $5 Billion Mile. The Dallas-based developer has plans to create a top-notch lifestyle hotel campus at the 242-acre mixed-use community, anchored by four 600-room hotels. According to a press release from NewcrestImage, the hotel campus will include a dual-brand AC Hotel and Residence Inn – both by Marriott, a Canopy by Hilton, and a Hyatt Place. The hotel campus will serve as the center of The Hub at Frisco Station, which will be home to roughly 200,000 square feet of restaurants, entertainment venues, and various high-end boutiques and retail spaces.
The hotels are slated to begin construction in January 2017, with the first openings in June of 2018. Those involved in the project have noted that the inclusion of the hotel complex adds to the overall theme of the mixed-use program, while also catering to what is going on next door at the Star (the Dallas Cowboys’ new Frisco headquarters). The intention of the project is to offer a wide range of hotel rooms for those visiting Frisco on business, whether in relation to the Cowboys or otherwise. The developers are catering to “today’s travelers” who are looking for “new hotel solutions”, which means that guests can expect an elevated experience when staying at Frisco Station.
