    • What happens after the lease is signed?
      We will insure that your property and tenant documents are compliant with Texas Property Code and all relevant local codes. We are here to assist with transition services. We will work with your vendors, or we can recommend ours. We have experience and relationships with the best service providers in North Texas. Your tenant will complete a detailed inventory and condition form upon move-in.

    • What happens after the tenant moves in?
      The Cheney Group provides ongoing management services, and serves as the liaison between you and the tenant. We manage all repair requests. First, we work with you to set a dollar amount for notification, so that you aren’t bothered by the small stuff. And when a repair is more expensive, we will solicit multiple bids and bring them back to you for approval. We work with home warranty services as needed, and also manage and oversee the repair vendors. Our volume of property management means our clients often benefit from service discounts.

    • How are the finances handled?
      The Cheney Group uses a custom accounting program specifically for property management. Your funds can be transferred by direct deposit. We will handle all the required 1099 reporting, and file it for you.
